Business Goals

BizStream assisted Commercial Food Sanitation (CFS) in migrating its existing marketing website from WordPress to the Kontent.ai platform so CFS could match the tech stack of its parent company, Intralox. BizStream also aided in modernizing CFS’s look with a complete redesign.

  • Re-develop the main CFS website with Kontent.ai to provide a new technology stack and content model that equips a stable foundation for years to come.
  • Implement the site in a modern technology that is easily updatable/upgradable.
  • Support a fully responsive modern look and feel.
  • Extend styles and layout treatments of their existing brand to create a more visually engaging and dynamic look online.

Challenges

  • Manually migrating the site's content from old to new.
  • Provide an easy-to-use CMS for new employees/employees with little to no CMS experience.
  • Setting up the site for the ability to translate content in the future into different languages.
  • Condense taxonomy for filtering and tagging blogs, articles, podcasts, etc.
  • Maintaining a consistent code base that allows easy updating for both commercialfoodsanitation.com and intralox.com.

Design

  • BizStream developed a complete web style guide to keep brand styles consistent across different devices.
  • An iterative approach to the redesign. Creating new design options, reviewing with the client, and updating the designs, as needed, until an ideal solution was developed.

Development

  • BizStream met with CFS every week over a few months to walk through the site architecture and discuss each section's design and functionality needs. Each session would cover various topics, from; design/creative, marketing, technical, content, search, and so on.
  • A collaborative team approach was used to include the client's development team and our team.
  • Our team built and reused React components across projects to expedite the development process and ensure a consistent experience across brands.
  • BizStream merged best practices from both teams to create a successful content model
